This new crime drama with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson is getting huge hype at the moment. 

 

Quirke

Sundays, 9.30pm, RTE 1.

- This new crime drama centres around Gabriel Byrne as a pathologist in 1950s Dublin. 

- The cast includes Michael Gambon and Nick Dunning, both of whom will be well-known to Gate Theatre audiences for their numerous acclaimed performances. 

 

Documentary of the Week - Infested: Living with Parasites

BBC4, 9pm, Wednesday.

- Dr. Michael Mosley goes on a quest to understand how parasites affect the human body. Fans of the disgusting will be enthralled by this show as the good doctor purposefully grows a tapeworm in his stomach while watching its growth on a live feed on his iPad.

Tom’s Choice: ‘The Straight Story’

Channel 4, Wednesday, 1.45am.

- 1999 Oscar nominated David Lynch drama starring Richard Farnsworth who goes on a long journey across the states on a lawn mower to make amends with his brother. 

Rory’s Choice: ‘The Colour of Money’

- BBC 1, Thursday, 12.10am.

This 1986 sequel to ‘The Hustler’ is directed by Martin Scorsese and stars Paul Newman as Eddie Felson and Tom Cruise as the arrogant pretender to Newman's throne.
