Two years into launching four different TV shows on Netflix, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s small-screen gamble is finally coming together with the first trailer for The Defenders.

Despite some mixed to middling reviews for Luke Cage and Iron Fist, the show will team up the eponymous heroes with Daredevil and Jessica Jones, for an Avengers-on-a-budget miniseries.

The 90-second clip, embedded below, shows Krysten Ritter, Charlie Cox, Mike Colter and Finn Jones meeting up to defend New York, while introducing Sigourney Weaver as the mysterious villain, Alexandra.

“The more connections you have, the easier it will be to break you,” she warns them.

Played off against the sound of Nirvana’s Come As You Are, the trailer teases the return of some of the show’s biggest characters. “You four,” a voiceover from an old mentor says, “the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, the smartass detective, the righteous ex-con, and the kid with the glowing fist... the war for New York is here. So get your shit together.”

The Defenders goes live on Netflix on August 18th. Take a look at the trailer in full below:
