We've known Colm Meaney as the resourceful Transporter Chief Miles O’Brien in Star Trek : The Next Generation and in the subsequent Star Trek: Deep Space Nine; he’s popped up in guest spots in
everything from the Fr. Dowling Mysteries and MacGyver to Law And Order and
The Simpsons and he’s currently co-starring in the popular cable western
series Hell On Wheels. He has had parts in John Huston’s The Dead
and Warren Beatty’s Dick Treacy through the Barrytown Trilogy and Under
Siege and Con Air up to The Damned United and Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa.
He ping-pongs back and forth between comedy and heavy drama and this week
we find him in One Chance, in which he plays the disbelieving father of
Paul Potts, the Welsh shop assistant with the soaring tenor voice who won
Britain’s Got Talent in 2007.

Aklso on the show writer director Peter Landesman will be telling us about his
Kennedy assassination film Parkland and we’ll have a preview of this year’s
Cork Film Festival.

That's The Picture Show Saturday's from 6-7pm.
