My Canine Companion is a Cork-based cause which provides highly trained and skilled assistance dogs to people with disabilities, especially autism.

After undergoing two years of training the dogs can provide greater independence, can alleviate bolting behaviours and act as a constant companion, offering unconditional love and friendship to the child.

The dogs are trained to the European standard Assistance Dogs Europe (ADEu) at a cost of just over €10,000 each.
