Vodafone are giants in the mobile-network space and they are working to expand their range of own-brand products. The latest device is the Smart Prime 7.

The Smart Prime 7 looks similar to the Samsung Galaxy S5, with its slick body and plastic back. The device has a 5-inch HD screen and runs Android 6.0.

Internally there's a Quad-core processor and just 1GB of RAM. This means that the device is slightly slow when jumping from app to app, but I found that it still performs well. It's worth noting, there's only 8GB of built-in storage, so a microSD card is pretty much a must-have.

There's an 8MP camera on the back and a 5MP selfie-cam on the front. They are both good, but nothing to write home about. The 1GB of RAM is noticeable whilst using the camera too; there's a slight lag between hitting 'capture' and the photo being taken.

It's incredibly thin and sits in the hand very comfortably. The plastic back may feel slightly cheap, but is easy to keep clean and gives the owner an extra sense of grip.

While there are one or two things that could be improved, it's hard to complain too much about this device as it delivers on so many fronts, at a budget price. This is a great device for anyone looking for a smartphone without breaking the bank.

The Vodafone Smart Prime 7 is available now for €129.99.
