The PSNI are appealing for information after a man was shot in the leg in Co Derry overnight.
The man aged in his 20s is said to be in a critical condition in hospital.
He suffered two wounds to his legs in the attack at Magowan Park just before 9.00pm last night.
Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives.
This is the second high-profile attack in the last number of days.
Michael McGibbon died following a shooting on Friday.
The taxi driver was shot three times in the leg in an alleyway.
It is understood Mr McGibbon had contacted police to inform them that two masked men had turned up at his house on Thursday evening.
Belfast-based security correspondent Alan Murray says some tactics are seeing people being shot by appointment.
