Ex-Chelsea striker Gianfranco Zola has resigned as Watford manager after almost 18 months in charge.
The 47-year-old, who took the club into last season's playoffs, leaves the club in 13th position in the Championship.
The Hornets have been in poor form and have won just one of their last ten games with Saturday's 1 - 0 defeat to relegation-threatened Sheffield Wednesday proving to be the final straw.
