Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane has suggested Gareth Bale could be a summer target for Real Madrid.
The Frenchman placed Bale in the top 3 players in the world, putting him alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Zidane currently works as an adviser to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
"I've been watching Tottenham for the reason that Gareth Bale has been playing there," said Zidane.
"Aside from Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, he is the player who has impressed me the most. All of the talented players like that can come to Real Madrid. Is he good enough for Real Madrid? Of course. He is more than good enough to play for Real Madrid.
"What has particularly impressed me is that he is consistent," he added.
"He is consistently scoring spectacular goals and very important goals. He is very quick, skilful and exciting."
A Real Madrid move for Bale has long been considered a possibility, and with Tottenham’s failure to secure Champions League football for next season there will be renewed interest from Europe’s top clubs.
