Mike Pantangco was completely dominating an amateur Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight then he suddenly decided to throw in the towel.

The move left bemused spectators — but it was later revealed that the gesture was an remarkable act of sportsmanship.

“We’re amateur fighters,” Pantangco said. “We don’t get money… And I know that the only thing I’m going to finish the fight is him to go in the hospital or get hurt. I just feel terrible so I’m just going to give him the win.”
