In the age of social media, football clubs are finding new and innovative ways to engage with their supporters.

Twitter and Facebook have become two of the main social channels for clubs and their fans to converse, share images and share information quickly.

Snapchat, a global image-sharing app which allows users to send pictures or images to friends which expire after 10 seconds, has become more prominent with some sports teams around the globe because of their story function.

Team accounts can add images of videos to this story feature which will remain on their account for 24 hours before being erased and can feature messages from team members as well as footage from behind the scenes.

One English team has used Snapchat's latest 'Snap Map' update, which allows people to view where their friends are on a virtual map, to unveil their new signing.

Yeovil Town welcomed new signing Jake Gray by releasing the video on Monday afternoon.
