Jack Wilshere looks likely to miss Arsenal's Champions League tie away to Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.

The England starlet missed Saturday's 2 - 0 Premier League win over Liverpool with an ankle injury and it looks unlikely he will be fit enough to face the Germans.

Wilshere initially hurt his ankle during the 2 - 1 defeat to Dortmund at the Emirates two weeks ago.

Fortunately for Arsenal and Wilshere, the injury is to his left ankle and not the one that kept him out of the game for over a year.

Wenger has looked to give Wilshere ample rest this season in order to reduce the number of ankle problems he suffers.
