Last week photos emerged of Jack Wilshere smoking outside a nightclub which Arsene Wenger addressed in his Friday press conference.

The Arsenal manager admitted that he would have words with Wilshere about the issue. The 21-year-old confirmed that Wenger has spoken to him but he insists that he is not a smoker, despite the image.

"I made a mistake but I'm not a smoker," said Wilshere. "I think that will be my last cigarette."

The England midfielder scored the equaliser in yesterday's 1 - 1 draw with West Brom.

He has been called up to the England squad for the crucial World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland.
