Danny Willett has set the target for the rest of the field on Day 2 of The 2015 Open.
The Englishman carded a three-under par 69 today to sit on 9-under par at the half-way stage and with the winds starting to pick up, he could hold onto the lead heading into the weekend.
Willett is two shots clear of a group of players that includes Zach Johnson, Adam Scott and Marc Warren, who are all back the clubhouse already, while first-round leader Dustin Johnson is set to tee off within the next 20 minutes from 7-under.
Amateur Paul Dunne is the leading Irish player. He made the turn in 1-under par, to bring to 4-under on the leaderboard.
Earlier, Padraig Harrington carded an impressive round of 69 to get to 3-under par
Graeme McDowell, Shane Lowry and Darren Clarke are all on 1-over par.
