Wilfried Zaha is fit enough to start against Manchester United despite speculation online before the game to the contrary.

The former Manchester United player had a problem “just above his hamstring” according to Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew but has recovered in time to play in the final at Wembley.

Zaha set the Championship alight three years ago and was snapped up as Sir Alex Ferguson's last signing before he retired. The speedy winger failed to make an impression under David Moyes and was subsequently loaned back to Palace before the deal was made permanent last February.

Pardew told reporters exactly what Zaha's problem was before their final game of the season last weekend, “Wilf still has a problem that will still keep him out for this weekend,” said Pardew.

“Hopefully he’ll be OK for the final. Wilf’s a naturally fit guy. He actually did the injury before the semi-final. We scanned him on the Monday afterwards and saw there’s a slight tear there."
