Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick claims the club have not been thinking about the dangers posed by the teams below them in the race for the Top Four.

A 3-0 victory over Tottenham yesterday keeps them in the hunt and also means that they are just two points behind second-placed Manchester City and one  behind Arsenal.

Carrick, who scored the second goal against his former club Spurs, spoke to Off The Ball's Dave McIntyre after the game and insisted that United have always kept their gaze firmly upwards.

"We've got some big games coming up. We've always been looking up, we've never been looking behind us. We've always been looking up. Of course, the season has been a little bit up and down at times but we've always believed and always stuck at it. We've got some massive games coming up and none bigger than next week," said Carrick, alluding to Liverpool who welcome United to Anfield next Sunday.
