Roger Federer and Andy Murray have set up a mouth-watering Wimbledon semi-final.

Federer was the first into the last four as the seven-time champion registered a straight sets win over Gilles Simon of France.

The Men's second-seed says he was pleased with his overall performance.

"The stop and go's are tough. You never know how you're going to come back from them. But I think I used them to my advantage. I think the breaks rather helped me than hindered me," he said.

Federer will now face Andy Murray in Friday's semi-finals after the home favourite defeated Canada's Vasek Pospisil in straight sets.

It was a match twice stopped for rain and had to be finished under the roof on Centre Court

The other two quarter-finals are now down for decision.

On Centre Court, top seed Novak Djokovic is taking on US Open champion Marin Cilic, while French Open winner Stan Wawrinka and Richard Gasquet contest the remaining last-8 encounter..
