West Ham United have confirmed the signing of Stewart Downing from Liverpool for an undisclosed fee.

The 29-year old has signed a four year contract at Upton Park, where he reunites with former Liverpool team-mate Andy Carroll.

The winger spent two years at Anfield after moving from Aston Villa but failed to make an impact.

He famously failed to either score or provide a single assist in his debut season for the Reds.
