Ireland midfielder Wes Hoolahan is reportedly on the wishlist of Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert.
The ex-Shels man has received less game-time at Norwich this season compared to previous campaigns and has been linked with a move to reunite with his former boss during the January transfer window.
The Mirror claimed that Villa launched a €1.8 million for the 31-year-old's services, although Canaries manager Chris Hughton has denied that Norwich will sell any first team players.
Meanwhile, Ireland winger Aiden McGeady continues to be linked with Everton. The Independent reports that the Toffees are close to agreeing personal terms with the Spartak Moscow winger, although a fee is yet to be agreed between Everton and the Russian Premier League club.
McGeady's relationship with Spartak has deteriorated in recent months with reports of rows between the player and manager Valeri Karpin, while captain Yegor Titov branded him an "a**hole".
