Arsenal have been here before of course. But you would have thought the manager and players would have learnt from the 5 - 1 defeat to Liverpool when they faced Chelsea on Saturday.
However, the same old errors resurfaced at Stamford Bridge in an abysmal 6 - 0 defeat and Pat Nevin believes Wenger is to blame when he spoke to us tonight.
"Actually you didn't turn up today. You made such horrendous errors," said Pat of Wenger's tactics.
"I thought it was a certainty that there would be two sitting midfielders. I couldn't believe when it came out when he had Arteta and Oxlade-Chamberlain. I've was at the Spurs game against Arsenal the week before and that's not [Oxlade-Chamberlain's] position against the best. So he plays one in there against Chelsea who have got three really top players in that area. I thought it was one of the poorest managerial decisions I'd ever seen. It was suicidal."
Pat also liked the balance of Manchester United's midfield in their 2 - 0 win over West Ham and told us why he still prefers the Beckham goal to Wayne Rooney's audacious effort.
