Lukas Podolski won't be leaving Arsenal for Inter Milan on loan in the transfer window, according to manager Arsene Wenger.
Inter have said that the German is among their targets but the Gunners boss has labelled the idea “a joke”.
“I want him to stay,” said Wenger. When asked if he expects Podolski to remain at the Emirates, the Frenchman replied: “I hope, yes.”

Wenger also reckons 2014 was a “positive year” on the back of Arsenal’s FA Cup success, and while he wouldn’t be drawn on Arsenal entering the title race, he says they may yet enter the transfer market in the January window.
