Paddy Mulligan has described the late Liam Tuohy as a one of Ireland's "great footballing men".

Former Ireland player and manager Tuohy passed away aged 83 at the weekend and ex-Boys in Green full-back, Paddy, who played for him for club and country, had fond memories of his late friend.

"Liam has been a pal since 1963 when I joined [Shamrock] Rovers first of all. We'll never see his like again, that's for sure, because he was just a fountain of knowledge on practically everything. In football, he was such a great footballing man. I was so proud and honoured to have served under him for Shamrock Rovers and in the Irish team. At Rovers he was absolutely immense for the time I was there and for the Irish team," he said on the Rewind.
