Arsene Wenger has agreed a new two year deal to remain in charge at Arsenal.
The Frenchman has been in charge of Arsenal for 21 years and reports are emerging today that club owner Stan Kroenke met with the Frenchman on Monday to determine his future.
Arsenal are planning to make an official announcement on Wednesday.
The news will bring mixed views for anyone connected with the club. Arsenal finished in fifth place this season and were 18 points behind champions Chelsea. It’s the first time the club have finished outside the top four since Wenger joined in 1996. A large portion of Arsenal fans have been crying out for a new manager for a number of years.
Wenger led the Gunners to three Premier League titles and four FA Cups in his first nine seasons in charge.

But since then, their form in the league and especially the Champions League has taken a huge dip. Despite this they have won the FA Cup three times in the last four years and most recently they beat close rivals Chelsea in the Final. This has definitely helped restore Arsenal's season but coming fifth in the league and being humiliated 10-2 on aggregate against Bayern Munich in the last 16 of the Champions League has really put the Arsenal boss under immense pressure.
