Kilkenny are to play in their fifteenth All Ireland final in eighteen years after defeating Waterford yesterday afternoon by six points in Croke Park. 

Brian Cody spoke to Newstalk Sport's Oisin Langan after the game as was quick to praise Waterford's efforts in the game. "We were tested very very strongly right throughout the game... We got the goal that mattered. If Waterford had got a goal at any stage it would have been huge for them".

The six point win was impressive as Kilkenny pulled away in the second half and Cody added that he was happy with how the team performed especially as Waterford "threw different challenges" at his side throughout the game. 

Kilkenny will face the either Tipperary or Galway in the final and Cody is expecting a big game next Sunday in Croke Park. "I have no idea who's going to win the game... Whatever teams comes through we will have to play out of our skins to win it".
