For the first time in Off the Ball history, Thursday Night Football with John Giles took place in The Helix as part of the Off the Ball roadshow.

Giles spoke to Ger about what he expects to happen next weekend when Scotland arrive in Dublin for the Euro 2016 qualifier. He told Ger about his admiration for Gordon Strachan and the work he has done with the Scottish side.

Pat Nevin and Tom Boyd stayed on stage with John to speak about the game. The three men agreed that Strachan has brought a new sense of confidence to the squad, which has given the players a new self belief.

John also spoke to Ger about this weekend's Champions League final. He does not expect Juventus to play defensively, but expects Luis Enrique's side to win the treble.

The three men also took questions from the crowd and spoke about Jim McGuinness and his future at Celtic, could McGeady or McCarthy play for Scotland and annoying players on the pitch.

The Off the Ball Helix Roadshow was with thanks to Ford the official vehicle partner of the Irish football team, helping drive success both on and off the pitch. Ford go Further.
