Waterford booked their place in the Munster Hurling Championship Final yesterday afternoon with a 3-19 to 1-21 win over Cork. It's the second time in five weeks that Waterford have gotten the better of Cork after beating them in the Allianz League Final at the start of May.

After the game, Newstalk Sport's Oisin Langan spoke to Waterford selector Dan Shanahan about the win.

Shanahan was part of the 2010 Waterford team that last won the Munster Championship saw his brother Maurice score 1-9 from full forward.

After the game, the Lismore native told Oisin that "we would have taken that to be honest with you. Cork were always going to come good again. They're a hell of a team. It was our day."

Waterford will now face either Tipperary or Limerick in the Munster final.
