Waterford are the All Ireland minor hurling champions after a 1-21 to 0-16 win over Galway at Croke park.
A Patrick Curran goal in the final few minutes finally put down a strong Galway side and sealed the first minor title for Waterford in 65 years.
Waterford had led 0-12 to 0-9 at half-time but couldn’t break free of Galway. The sides were level at 0-15 to 0-15 midway through the second half but from there Waterford stretched away and Curran’s goal proved to be the decisive score.
