Coach Peter Power is a bit of a Waterford legend and Saturday he was involved in the Dungarvan Colleges side that beat Kilkenny CBS in the All Ireland final, 1-12 to 1-7 the final score.

Power has worked with generations of Waterford hurlers although those around my age (32) will remember when he called to the schools for coaching sessions armed with the hurleys, cones and a fake hand!.

In 1992 Power coached the under 21’s to an All Ireland title giving he and the late great Tony Mansfield a celebrity status on the Deise not scene since the 59 team .

After Saturday's first and last All Ireland final win for Dungarvan Colleges he spoke @tomasmcc (Tomas Mc Carthy) and I (@langanator).
