Scott Evans is out of the Rio Games after a defeat to Viktor Axelsen.
The Dane beat the Irishman in their last-16 men's badminton clash.
Axelsen had the edge in the first game, eventually winning 21-16.
And he was further ahead in the second with a final game victory of 21-12.
Evans, who was the first Irish badminton player to reach the last-16, was in good spirits afterwards, replicating his celebration of taking off his T-shirt as he had done previously.
