On Tuesday night, Ben Woodburn broke a Liverpool record that had stood for the best part of 20 years.
The 17-year-old new pro is now in the history books at the Reds' youngest ever goalscorer with the second goal in a 2-0 win over Leeds United in the EFL Cup.
It was back in 1997 that a 17-year-old Michael Owen found the net for the very first time for Liverpool.
In a late season fixture in May of that season, he and his team-mates made a trip to Selhurst Park to face Wimbledon.
Owen was already much vaunted when he was brought on as a second half substitute in the second half of the game.
And his impact, like much of his early career, was immediate:
Overall, it was a poor result for Liverpool as they went down 2-1 to the Dons.
But at least, it gave Liverpool fans a first glimpse of Owen.
