Former Arsenal and England captain Tony Adams says he is ready to "achieve a miracle" on his return to management with Spanish side Granada.

On Monday, the ex-Arsenal one club man was appointed as caretaker manager until the end of the season, having previously served in a background role at the club.

Granada are seven points from safety in the relegation zone of the country's top flight.

Adams was in bullish but relaxed mood at his first news conference.

"I've got seven games to keep this club in La Liga which we all want to do," said the 50 year old.

"This is why I'm here. I'm going to kick some players' a***. I'm going to work them hard, I'm going to try the best that I can do with my 40 years of experience in football to try and get this good, to try and keep the ball out of one end and stick it in the other."

Tony Adams has nurtured an eclectic management career
