The Guarantee, a new film about the disastrous banking guarantee made by the Irish government in 2008 that has cost the public billions in taxpayer money, is due for release on October 30th, and promises to be a horror movie worthy of its near-Halloween debut.

Six years on from the September 30th guarantee made by Taoiseach Brian Cowen's cabinet, we now get our first look at what the movie and its cast can bring to our silver screens. The Guarantee gets its premiere in Dundrum later this month, with a Q&A screening with Matt Cooper broadcast to cinemas all around Ireland.
