After the success of last year's series involving Aaron Kernan and Jackie Tyrell, The Toughest Trade returned to Irish television screens on Tuesday night.

All-Ireland winner with Tipperary Brendan Maher travelled to Australia to try his hand at cricket. The 27-year-old spent a week with the Big Bash side Adelaide Strikers. Maher's task was to face an over in the Adelaide Oval after a Big Bash game on front of the home crowd.

Two-time Ashes winner Steve Harmison spent a week at Maher's club Borris-Ileigh in Tipperary. The former Durham fast bowler fitted into the team in a challenge match in Bishop Quinlan Park.

Tuesday night's episode was the first of two that will be shown on Irish television screens. Next week, Mayo footballer Aidan O'Shea will try his hand at American football, while former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Roberto Wallace plays for O'Shea's club Breaffy in Mayo.
