We always knew that Mark Wahlberg was an athlete masquerading as a Hollywood actor. That's not to say that he's not a competent actor but when his muscles flex at the slightest movement, it's difficult to concentrate on his movie performances.

You just know that his talents are being wasted on a movie set.

And this weekend, Wahlberg unleashed the golfing great within. Playing at the famous Pebble beach course in a PRO Am with Bubba Watson, Wahlberg struck a shot that came tantilisingly close to a hole-in-one.

And Ireland's Rory McIlroy was so impressed by the attempt that he opted to post the moment on his Facebook page.
