When the great championship games of the 1990s are listed out, Clare v Limerick 1996 is an epic that often gets a mention.

And with good reason as an exciting match in vociferous heat was settled by a point in Limerick's favour as the then All-Ireland champions fell short.

Ciaran Carey immortalised himself with the sensational winning point for Limerick.
