Rumours of a reported bout between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather over the weekend have been, for the most part, brushed off as ridiculous fantasy.

The bout, billed as 'Boxing v MMA' and featuring two of the sport's biggest names, is unlikely to go ahead as McGregor is under contract to the UFC.

Mayweather, currently retired, is likely to return for a 50th and final bout possibly against Manny Pacquiao rather than a 'mega-fight' with McGregor.

Joe Rogan gave his two cents on the proposed fight and expects each fighter to be comfortably beaten if the fight was set in opposition disciplines.
