Gary Neville's spell as Valencia's manager has been sadly nothing short of a failure.

Barcelona's 7-0 Copa del Rey win over Valencia was the heaviest defeat Los Che have suffered since 1993. Luis Suarez scored four and Lionel Messi added a hat-trick ahead of the facile second leg of their semi-final next week.

Neville spoke to the media after the game where he was repeatedly asked about his future at the club and claimed that the "Valencia fans didnt deserve that tonight". The former Manchester United defender's mood toward the press quickly soured when he was asked about his future.

At one point when Neville was asked whether he would resign, he simply answered "no". In Neville's eight La Liga games in charge of the team, they have failed to win, drawing five and losing three time.

Their only success came in the Copa del Rey, giving Neville some respite before the trashing in the Camp Nou. Valencia return to La Liga action this weekend. They face Real Betis in Seville on Sunday.
