Perhaps you've watched a disaster flick action movie or TV show, something like The Day after Tomorrow or The Walking Dead, and marvelled at how the female characters, while running their lives, manage to stay immaculately groomed and styled in the face of peril? Well, then these deleted scenes will fill in the blanks.
In this new world order, the very fabric of society may well have been torn apart, but that doesn't mean those eyebrows shouldn't be tamed. And now filmmaker and comedian Dara Laine outlines how the typical action-movie starlet keeps her legs smooth and hair straight, living up to unrealistic beauty standards as the world descends into madness.
These 'deleted scenes' focus on the ridiculous situations male writers often drop female characters into, offering some explanation of how they maintain their composure and look. "I actually find it easier wearing heels while fighting an army of vampires, as it allows me to just be really eye-to-eye with with my male opponent," says one character shortly before tripping in her high stiletto boots. "Walk it off," she whispers to herself angrily afterwards.
