Cristiano Ronaldo was not the most popular player amongst neutrals during the Champions League final.

The Portuguese star lacked any major impact during the game against rivals Atletico Madrid in Milan. Despite the anonymity, he stepped up to score the winning goal in the penalty shoot-out to win his third European title.  

A show-man on front of the cameras, the 31-year-old clearly has a nicer side when he thinks the world isn't watching. Laois native Conor Keightley recorded a softer side to the father of one.

Ronaldo was one of the last Real players to leave the podium after the trophy presentation, and was asked to pose for pictures with wheelchair-bound fans. Without hesitation the former World Player of the Year, jumped in for pictures with fans as his team mates began their celebrations on the pitch.

A side not widely seen, but one that could certainly make Ronaldo more popular. Maybe this summer's European Championships will show the number seven in another light...
