Conor McGregor is cocky, confident and brash. He will admit that. His fans will admit that. His teammates have admitted that.

Speaking on American network TSN ahead of the fight he spoke about the death of fan Brendan McGlone, he showed a side to him that many fans have not seen.

McGregor made contact with the Tyrone native through the Make a Wish foundation and had promised to bring Brendan out to Las Vegas ahead of this weekend's fight. He tragically died from Leukemia earlier this week.

When asked by Michael Landsberg about Brendan's death, McGregor was lost for words on occasion trying to speak about the 14 year old.

"It f**ked my head up because this little kid is in Ireland and I'm telling the kid I'm going to take this belt and I'm going to bring the belt to you and we’ll raise the belt. I would have done it".

"I have lost family members to cancer. It's a horrible, horrible thing".
