On Saturday night, Brazil's Copa America hopes came crashing down after a penalty shootout defeat to Paraguay in the quarter-final.
Given that it follows last year's World Cup humiliation (you may remember Germany put seven past them), it has prompted plenty of soul-searching about the state of football in the country so associated with the game.
Brazil had started positively against Paraguay, taking a 1-0 lead through Robinho. But a clear handball in the box from defender Thiago Silva led to the equaliser - and a couple of Internet memes like these ones:

Obviously, Silva's team-mates were not amused by what happened on the pitch and before the penalty shootout, it appears that Robinho and Filipe Luis were among the players to have a go at the 2014 World Cup captain, with Robinho's gesticulation clearly alluding to the nature of the argument:
