FIFA president Sepp Blatter has been showered with bank notes at a FIFA press conference in Zurich.

The cash was thrown at him by British comedian Lee Nelson, who also invaded the stage when Kanye West headlined Glastonbury last month, forcing the head of football's world governing body to cut his press conference short.

A furious Blatter said "this has nothing to do with football" before leaving the room.

Blatter, who is due to step down at the next FIFA congress after 17 years in charge, has been under scrutiny in the wake of corruption allegations centred around individuals within and linked to the organisation.
