Mitch Wallis of the Western Bulldogs was stretchered off during the fourth quarter of their defeat to St Kilda, following a severe leg fracture.

The midfielder was trying to deliver a pass under pressure from an incoming Shane Savage, when Wallis became entangled and ended up kicking his own ankle, resulted in a double leg break.

Wallis immediately screamed in agony and the game was temporarily paused in order to allow medical staff attend to his horrific injury.

The Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge confirmed after the game that Wallis fractured both his tibia and fibula.
