Goal celebrations have easily become too elaborate in recent times.

Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette told his goal celebration against Roma to the other extreme on Thursday night. In the Europa League Round of 16 First Leg, Lyon held a 3-2 lead at home as the game entered its final moments.

With the game delicately poised, and Roma returning home with two away goals, the tie looked to be balanced in their favour. With that, the French striker stepped up to fire a rocket of a shot past goalkeeper Allison and into the top left corner.

Lacazette's reaction to the goal was as nonchalant as they come and was reminiscent of Eric Cantona's celebration against Sunderland, in December 1996.

It did not matter that players like Corentin Tolisso and Maxwell Cornet jumped on the goalscorer, Lacazette was not for moving.

Expect 'The Lacazatte' to feature around the playgrounds of Lyon and further afield in the coming weeks.
