The 2014 Newstalk Inter-Provincial Cricket Championship is underway at The Hills in Skerries.

North Western Warriors batted first, scoring on 285 for their 50 overs. Johnny Thompson and Stuart Thompson added an unbeaten 105 off just 77 balls for the fifth wicket.

Last year's winners of the inaugural championship, Leinster Lightning, enjoyed their best bowling through Eddie Richardson, who was 2 for 54.
