Australia beat France in Melbourne this morning, in a drab, dull encounter. A 6-0 win for the Wallabies came courtesy of 2 second half penalties. The game was scoreless until the 53rd minute.

The win gives Ewen McKenzie’s team the series win, but was disappointing fare after last weekend’s 50-23 win.

Australia thought they had scored in the first half but Ben McCalman’s 23rd minute effort was ruled out by TMO Vinny Munro for an infringement in the lead up to the try.

France were not without scoring chances and both Morgan Parra and Brice Dulin missed penalties.
