Wales have lost one of their major names ahead of the rugby union World Cup.

Full-back Leigh Halfpenny has been ruled out of the tournament.

He was injured during Saturday's final warm-up with Italy.

The Welsh rugby union have confirmed that he tore his anterior crucial ligaments, and he is expected to be out for six months.
