Racing Metro have confirmed the capture of Welsh scrum-half Mike Phillips.
The big-spending French club have announced that the 31-year-old has been added to their squad after he was sacked by Bayonne in October after he had allegedly arrived at a team meeting while under the influence of alcohol.
The arrival of Phillips in Paris means that he will now revive his successful Lions partnership with Jonathan Sexton and will also join his Welsh team-mates Jamie Roberts and Dan Lydiate.
Phillips and Sexton started together for the Lions in two tests during the summer tour of Australia.
However, Phillips could be in trouble after appearing to deliberately stamp on Australia's Quade Cooper during Saturday's test between Wales and the Wallabies at the Millennium Stadium.
