Last week New Zealand superbike racer Bruce Anstey broke the Isle of Man TT lap record, setting a time of 17 minutes 6.682 seconds. The veteran finished fourth overall, but he kept an astounding average speed of 213 kmh for this recording-breaking circuit.
The island's 60km track is known as one of the most dangerous in the world, with 241 deaths recorded since the competition began over a century ago.
