San Diego Comic-Con offers no shortage of costumed heroes. As well as the vast amount of attendees dressed as their favourite comic and cinema characters, it has also become the place for big announcements about all things superheroes. It is the place, after all, that saw the announcement during the weekend that the Man of Steel sequel would feature none other than Batman alongside Superman - and allegedly have them face-off as enemies.

But what's the use of such screen or page heroes when there's a genuine emergency and lives that need saving? Comic-Con saw its own life or death situation yesterday when a woman threatened to jump off a high balcony on the city's Mark Building.

The day was saved, however, by three Hollywood stuntmen, in town to help promote the upcoming Kick-Ass 2. The trio, who had been working nearby on scaffolding for a Kick-Ass 2 premiere event, managed to get into the room, sneak up behind the woman and harness her to the balcony before she jumped.
