With injuries and Bayern Munich taking their best players, some of the lustre surrounding Borussia Dortmund has disappeared somewhat this season.

After last night's 3 - 0 defeat to Real Madrid, it looks like last season's Champions League finalists will go no further than the quarter-finals. 

When asked by a German TV presenter whether the tie is over because even last year's famous 4 - 1 win over Real would not be enough, Klopp grew visibly irritated.

“How can anyone pay my salary if I say the tie is done. I would be just as stupid to say we are going to thrash them, but I’m not going to be able continue standing in this studio to be provoked into saying a stupid thing," he said, before dropping his mic, shaking hands with former Germany international Oliver Kahn and walking out of studio.
